How long do your tortillas last?

Flour - Our tortillas have a shelf life of about 30 days at room temperature. You can extend their life by refrigerating or freezing them. We recommend sticking your flavored tortillas in the fridge!

Corn - Our corn tortillas have a shelf live of up to 45 days at room temperature. You can extend their life by refrigerating or freezing them. We recommend sticking them in the fridge if you can!

How do you recommend storing tortillas?

We recommend throwing both corn and flour tortillas in the fridge to keep them at peak flavor and for a longer shelf life! Our flour tortillas freeze very well (a very long time)! We don't recommend freezing corn as it dissipates the fragile texture faster.

Can your tortillas be frozen?

Yes! You can freeze our flour tortillas for (at least) 6 months. To reheat, simply thaw and warm on a skillet.

Corn tortillas tend to break much quicker in the freezer, so we don't recommend putting them in the freezer. But you can!

Are your tortillas gluten-free?

Our corn tortillas are gluten-free, but our flour tortillas contain gluten. They are both manufactured on dedicated lines with dedicated staff, but they are all made in the same facility. While we do our best to mitigate, cross contamination is a risk. Please reach out with any questions!

GMO? Organic?

All of our corn is non-GMO! We frequently visit with our farmers to make sure nothing changes on that end.

Our corn is not certified organic. We often partner with smaller local family farms, and the certification process for organic simply isn't worth the time or money for them.

What are the ingredients in your tortillas?

We are working to update our ingredients here on our website! Check back soon. In the meantime, all allergens are accurate and up-to-date on all online bundle products. If you have an urgent question, please reach out via the contact us form on our site! We're usually really fast.

We use premium, locally sourced ingredients, such as Heirloom Indian corn grown in southern Colorado and high-oleic sunflower oil processed in northern Colorado. About 95% of our ingredients are from Colorado!

Are your tortillas vegan/vegetarian?

Most of our tortillas are vegan/vegetarian! We use local Colorado high-oleic sunflower oil on the majority of our products! We do make products with animal fats (they're always labeled in the title of them).

Seed Oils?

All of our corn tortillas are seed oil free!

Our Classic flour tortillas and many of our flavors do contain a locally made High Oleic Sunflower Oil. We will almost always have an alternative on hand for those seeking seed oil-free tortillas. Our usual suspect is the locally sourced Bison Tallow tortilla, but we do rotate in Extra Virgin Olive Oil tortillas, Dry-Aged Beef Tallow tortillas, Brisket Tallow tortillas, Wagyu Beef Tallow tortillas, and Avocado Oil tortillas every so often! We're always expanding the lineup with different tallows - expect new seed oil-free tortillas often!

Do you sell masa?

Short answer is we do not! Masa is hard to take care of after being made and has a short lifespan. Fresh masa is a living dough—it dries out and ferments in a matter of hours unless it’s kept under strict temperature and moisture controls, which makes it tough to package or ship safely. We grind it only for our own tortillas so it can go straight from our Mexican lava stones to the press while it’s still at peak flavor and texture.

When does my order ship?

We will take pre-sale orders for 1-4 weeks (depending on when you ordered) before making everything fresh and shipping everyone's order simultaneously. We do that to cut down on waste and keep the tortillas as fresh as possible for you. Your order will ship the first week of whatever month you've preordered for! You'll get an automatic email with tracking details when it's headed your way.
