Peanut Butter Banana Tacos with Honey & Chocolate Chips

Peanut Butter Banana Tacos with Honey & Chocolate Chips

Creamy. Crunchy. Gooey. Golden. This taco doesn’t just satisfy your sweet tooth—it hugs it.

A Dessert Taco That Knows Exactly What It's Doing
There are classic flavor combinations—and then there’s this.
Peanut butter and banana were made for each other. Add a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of chocolate chips, wrap it all in a warm sweet tortilla, and you’ve got something dangerously snackable. Think after-school nostalgia meets dessert taco perfection.

This is the kind of taco you make when you want to treat yourself without lifting a finger.
Sweet, melty, and just messy enough to feel worth it.

Whether it’s breakfast, dessert, or late-night “just one bite” territory, this is the taco that disappears the second it hits the plate.

Why It Works
This taco is all about contrast and comfort:

  • Creamy peanut butter for richness
  • Warm bananas for natural sweetness
  • Honey for sticky, floral depth
  • Chocolate chips for a touch of indulgence
  • A soft, lightly sweetened tortilla to wrap it all together

It’s nostalgic, craveable, and somehow still feels a little bit grown up.

Perfect For

  • Easy late-night desserts
  • After-school snacks
  • Brunch spreads
  • Sweet taco flights
  • Kids and adults who know what’s up

Ingredients:

4 small flour tortillas (our sweet tortillas work great here!)

2 ripe bananas, sliced

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

2 tablespoons honey (plus more for drizzling)

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Optional: pinch of cinnamon or flaky sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Warm the tortillas on a dry skillet until soft, golden, and just slightly toasted (about 15–30 seconds per side).
  2. Spread peanut butter generously across each tortilla while still warm, so it gets melty and smooth.
  3. Layer on banana slices, slightly overlapping for full coverage.
  4. Drizzle with honey, then sprinkle with mini chocolate chips.
  5. Optional: add a pinch of cinnamon or flaky salt for extra depth.
  6. Fold gently like a taco and serve warm, or grill lightly for a crispy outside and gooey inside.
  7. Want to take it up a notch? Try adding crushed peanuts, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or a quick pan-fry in butter for that crispy edge.
